The 2018 Commercial Vehicle Show has seen the Road Haulage Association – as one of the CV Show’s three partner organisations – launch a new, exciting and free industry news app.

RoadwayLive is the RHA’s latest news channel which will keep members, drivers and hauliers up to date with everything from the latest industry developments to ‘as-it-happens’ news such as major road closures.

Launching the new app, RHA chief executive, Richard Burnett said: “RoadwayLive is a rolling news timeline that features the latest industry news, comment, legal news, policy updates, videos, events and operator news.

“We’ve always prided ourselves in our ability to get the news out as quickly and as efficiently as possible and we’re confident that RoadwayLive will rapidly grow to become the road transport industry’s one stop news shop. If it’s about trucks RoadwayLive will cover it.”

But it’s not all about new technology. The RHA’s stand – 5F30 – is exhibiting and demonstrating a wide range of products important to hauliers.

Operators can find out how to unlock apprenticeship levy funding to train and assess new staff, address the skills shortage through the She’s RHA programme and how to take advantage of the RHA’s conditions of carriage. There’ll also be advice on the RHA’s updated operator’s analysis tools, health & safety services and earned recognition – a new quality standard devised by the DVSA.

The Vision Van – a mobile eye-testing facility run by sight experts Vision Express – will also feature at the show where they’ll be offering free eye tests.
