Three years ago Ligentia took a significant step forward in the global air freight market. Through significant investment in a new, experienced air team and a 30,000sqft HM Customs approved ETSF warehouse at Heathrow, Ligentia has continued to successfully drive the air division forward. Today, Ligentia’s customers include an impressive portfolio of leading UK retailers, global manufacturers and providers within the defence and mining sectors. As the air freight market thrives*, the most recent Ligentia planning has focused on streamlining internal operations, strengthening the Ligentia air proposition and engaging in new markets. Not an easy task, but one their newly promoted Global Air Director, Lee Alderman-Davis has embraced. Lee joined Ligentia in 2014, with an impressive background in air accumulated over 20 years she was recruited to lead the UK air division through the introduction of innovative solutions and service enhancements. As part of the senior management team, Lee will continue to introduce new initiatives and challenge her growing global team to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Lee says about her new role “I’m delighted to be working alongside a global team that truly are the best in the industry. Our trusted partner ethos will be further strengthened by consolidating our air service proposition across existing and new regions. It’s exciting times for Ligentia and I look forward to seeing how the air division progresses in future years.” *IATA has announced the global freight tonne kilometres (FTKs) grew by 10.4% year-on-year in H1 2017 – its strongest start in 7 years.
