Since the Referendum vote in June 2016, Espace and most other U.K courier, forwarding and logistics companies have seen their European transport costs soar because of the depreciation in the £ / Euro exchange rate.

With over 30 per cent of its business in the European courier market and to limit price rises to its customers, Espace introduced ‘PLUS’, a new service sitting between its Guaranteed next day delivery and its Standard delivery service.

Their new PLUS service sees a maximum of two time-sensitive shipments travelling together in an Express van. The shipments are not transhipped and by extending the transit time from one to two days, it can offer heavily discounted European courier rates.

Our PLUS service has gone down well since its launch in July this year. I am now giving customers a choice for their European express shipments; a dedicated service with a Money back Guarantee or our discounted consolidated express service. We are updating our online express transport calculator in October so customers can now generate both a dedicated and consolidated express rate to/from over 20 European countries.

This express service is expected to see Espace continue to grow, in what appears to be an uncharted sea for both freight forwarding and courier services alike.
