CenGroup, leading providers for transport and logistics systems, has further expanded its presence in the Middle East with a move into a brand-new office in Dubai.

The new office will house the company’s growing Research and Development team, which supports the company’s two divisions: Centrad, a leading vehicle CCTV and telematics supplier and CenGlobal, which supplies and consults on transport and logistics management systems in the UK, Middle East and Asia.

Heading the development team is Shazeem Bin Salam, Development Manager at CenGroup who plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company maintains a competitive edge through championing product development.

Celebrating his 10th year at CenGroup, Shazeem has risen through the ranks establishing himself as an integral cog within the business which is renowned for its solutions driven products and services.

Initially joining as a developer in 2014, Shazeem now leads the company’s 15 strong team, which facilitates the development of dedicated Centrad products as well as integrated software solutions for customers ultimately ensuring the company remains ahead of the curve by keeping it up to date with the latest vehicle CCTV technology. Shazeem and the development team also manage the Centrad Cloud Platforms, ensuring they are secure and up and running 24/7 for customers.

In recent years, Shazeem has helped the business bring to life its latest products, having been instrumental in the launch and ongoing maintenance of CenGroup’s flagship technologies such as mobile solutions and web portals. He has also enabled the company’s suite of systems to be entirely configurable with their existing software.

Steve Cross, Managing Director at Cen Global commented: “We are delighted to have expanded our presence into Dubai to accommodate our growing foothold not only in the Middle East, but also on a global scale.

“The marketplace has shifted in recent years. Customers now place significant emphasis on configurable products which can be seamlessly integrated with their existing systems or

upgraded without the need to replace existing hardware – which can be extremely costly. By focusing on developing end-user configurable products Shazeem and our development team can give customers the comfort of knowing that their existing systems can be integrated – effectively future-proofing their systems and in turn saving on time, cost and avoiding the headache of having to make unnecessary changes to existing products and systems offering total flexibility.

“A further example of this is with CenGlobal, which provides warehousing and transport management solutions for customers across the globe, to link their systems to existing transport management systems such as Cargowise – for which we are a platinum partner.”

Steve believes that much of CenGroup’s capability stems from the strength of their research and development team coupled with their ethos of nurturing in-house talent and giving them the pathway to growth within the business.

Steve continued: “How Shazeem has developed over the past decade is refreshing to see. Having started out as a junior developer, he’s pushed the boundaries and now plays an integral role within CenGlobal. He has a unique grasp of the marketplace and the ever-evolving requirements and his ability to develop his own team has enabled the business to produce an ongoing pipeline of talent which has enabled us to continue provide a range of innovative solutions to further secure our position as a leading provider of CCTV and telematics systems in the UK.”
