Air cargo digital booking and rate distribution platform CargoAi has appointed Frédéric Bazin as Vice President of Customer Success, describing it as “a significant step” on its “mission to digitalize the air cargo industry”.

Having been in the airline industry for twenty years, CargoAi said Bazin had “gained solid air freight experience within high profile airlines such as Air France/KLM’s Cargo and, more recently, Qatar Airways Cargo with a strong emphasis on Operational Excellence, Revenue Optimization and Customer Satisfaction”.

It said Bazin “is looking forward to making the most of his previous experience and thorough understanding of customer expectations to support CargoAi’s vision which he shares with great enthusiasm”.

Matt Petot, Founder of CargoAi, commented: “Ever since the Covid pandemic, the cargo industry has been increasingly faced with the need to continuously improve its processes through automation and digitalization while maintaining customer experience at the highest level. That’s why I’m convinced of the necessity of digital transformation and I’m very excited to be a part of CargoAi in developing revolutionary service solutions that will allow forwarders to drive every stage of the air freight procurement with efficiency, speed and reliability.

“Frederic’s extensive experience in the industry, especially with Qatar as one of the largest cargo operators worldwide, is in keeping with CargoAi’s pillars to hire industry veterans, to ensure that our digital solutions are always in sync with real-life customer’s  needs. I have known Frederic since 2008 and it is a great honor to have him join our team after having a brillant career path in leading airlines. His professional and human skills are great for our team and for our customers.”

CargoAi said that “while digital innovation for the industry remains a core value for CargoAi, there is no doubt that Bazin’s arrival will lead customer satisfaction to reach an all-time high”.

Launched in 2019, CargoAi is “on a mission to bring the best available technologies to air freight. Cloud native and with an API-first architecture, the company is closing the technology gap and driving the enablement of an efficient and connected airfreight ecosystem.”
CargoAi offers a range of digital air cargo solutions to freight forwarders, airlines and GSAs, including a SaaS booking application available either as a marketplace and under White Label, an API Suite that integrates directly into TMS and ERP systems, an AI-powered Cargo Business Intelligence as well as an integrated Sustainability solution that spans the entire portfolio.
Using the CargoAi solutions, the company said “forwarders are empowered to drive every stage of the air freight procurement process with greater efficiency and visibility – from planning, booking, and executing shipments right through to monitoring cargo deliveries. The gains in efficiency, customer reach and business opportunities directly translate to top and bottom-line impact for carrier partners.”
Headquartered in Singapore with teams in all continents, CargoAi is one of the air freight sector’s largest AI-powered distribution and booking ecosystems, distributing air freight rates on around 30,000 flights per week.
