MARITIME COMMUNITY URGED NOT TO MISS DANISH E-NAVIGATION CONFERENCE

International maritime companies and experts are being urged not to miss a prestigious January 2018 conference, bringing the very latest e-navigation developments under the spotlight.

The ‘International e-Navigation Underway 2018’ conference (January 24-26, 2018), is set to attract delegates from around the world and is being organised by Danish event and conference management specialist and strategist, Graham & Partners, which has in-depth experience in creating first-class shipping events.

Graham & Partners is working on behalf of clients, the Danish Maritime Authority and IALA, and its conference will take place aboard a DFDS Seaways ferry, to deliver sense of place.  The vessel will travel between Copenhagen and Oslo, as key e-navigation thought leaders deliver valuable insight, update delegates on the latest developments and debate the framework that needs to surround self-driving cargo ships.

Keynote speakers already announced include Niels Smedegaard, President and CEO of DFDS, President of the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and Deputy Chairman of Danish Shipping, and Michael Rodey, Innovation Strategy Manager at Maersk.  The conference has now issued an invitation for other speaker submissions.

Rodey has worked with Rolls-Royce Marinea and global towage operator Svitzer, to create the world’s first remotely operated commercial vessel, as demonstrated in Copenhagen earlier this year.

Delegates attending this event will enjoy invaluable networking opportunities that foster the sharing of technical knowledge and experience between peers. Others wishing to promote their products and services can do so, thanks to the creation of an exhibitor zone and attractive package for those keen to exhibit.

Spouses can travel at a reduced rate and attendees can choose from a number of cabin type options. There are also social elements to the event, with a pre-conference networking dinner at Copenhagen’s Phoenix hotel prior to embarkation and the chance to go ashore in the Norwegian capital. Event sponsors sourced to support the conference are: marine electronics organisation, Comité International Radio-Maritime (CIRM); international body, The Nautical Institute; The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO); and the International Hydrographic Organization.

Graham & Partners’ director, Jane Graham, says: “We have maximised the opportunities through which delegates can furnish themselves with updates on fast-paced e-navigation developments and details of the sea change these mean for shipping.  Our event format, and our skill at tapping into the DNA of our clients, should attract global thought leaders, creating a dynamic and vibrant environment.

“We would urge all businesses and authorities with a role to play within e-navigation to not be conspicuous by their absence, as we are certain this conference will fashion future policy and technological developments and would like all influencers to have their voice heard.”

Delegates are urged to quickly book their places  for ‘International e-Navigation Underway 2018’ at https://www.int-e-navigation.dk, to avoid disappointment.  Those wishing to sponsor this event, exhibit or be a keynote speaker should call +45 72 2070 75, to speak with Graham & Partners.
